The Centre for Reworlding recognises that we are part of an interconnected and interdependent network of artists, thinkers, researchers—and communities. We deeply value the capacity to nurture meaningful relationships and transformatively collaborate.
We believe in the necessity of sharing knowledge now to fortify our future generations.
We would like to particularly recognise:
Colleagues and partners from multiple initiatives including Clarendon Creative, City of Vancouver, RMIT, Science Gallery and Incinerator Gallery
Our collegues at Arts House Melbourne and particularly the team from the Refuge project, who helped germinate the seeds of the Centre for Reworlding.
Our partners at Australia Council of the Arts, whose financial and cultural support has laid the sustainble foundations for us to thrive.
First nations elders and knowledge holders who have and continue to graciously and generously share their wisdoms and perspectives with us.
The work and creating of the CENTRE FOR REWORLDING is made possible while living and collaborating
on the stolen and unceded lands of the Wurrundjeri, Taungurung and Dja Dja Wurrung peoples.
We pay our respects to their ancestors and Elders past and present and acknowledge their enduring legacy of care for Country so we may enjoy the stars, drink from the waters and continue to learn from the land. We are committed to strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal peoples for the benefit of future generations to thrive in restored ecosystems. The Centre for Reworlding extends this acknowledgement to any other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people and to any other First Nations people who engage with our work - for it is our elders and kin who hold the key to healing Country, others’ ancestral lands and the world’s broken systems for the health and wellbeing of all our future ancestors.
