Ryan Hale

Ryan (he/him) is a creative producer, project manager, curator and editor based on Dja Dja Wurrung Country. Driven by a commitment to social justice and amplifying lesser heard voices, he’s dedicated his career to creating and facilitating inclusive, transformative programs and experiences with and for communities.

Ryan has held producing, programming and arts management roles at Next Wave, Melbourne Fringe, City of Melbourne, City of Darebin, Carbon Arts, Human Rights Arts & Film Festival, tilde Film Festival and Images Festival (Toronto, Canada). He edited the arts publications Blak Wave (2014), Co–Respond : A Collaboration Between Artists and Writers at Seventh Gallery (2012) and The View From Here: 19 Perspectives on Feminism (2010).

Since 2022 Ryan has focused his energy on empowering rural and regional young people to thrive, first as Project Director of Youth Take Over and now as Adviser with Youth Live4Life. He’s an advocate for the important role young people play in future-proofing and building resilient, connected communities.

Ryan has held several arts advisory roles, is a current YACVic Board Director and a graduate of the 2023 Victorian LGBTIQA+ Leadership Program.
